Obverse description Three heraldic lions in high relief dominate the field: the winged Lion of St. Mark of Venice at center, nimbed and holding a sword and open book, flanked by the standing lions of Zürich (left, with sword and shield) and Bern (right, with sword and shield). The Latin legend runs along the upper rim, with FIRMET AMOR inscribed in two lines at the lower exergue.
