Reverse description Central field bears a stylised châtel tournois (castle of Tours) design, depicting a crowned tower with flanking turrets and pellets, in the tradition of the French denier tournois type. The motif is set within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding uncial Latin legend TVRONVS LVCEB identifying the denomination and mint as the tournois of Luxembourg. The overall design follows the established Tournois coinage tradition adapted for the Duchy of Luxembourg under Wenceslaus I.
