Obverse description Central device depicts the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) in The Hague, shown in low relief with its characteristic Gothic facade and flanking towers. A circular legend runs along the upper rim of the field. The token is struck in terracotta clay with a slightly rough, uneven surface consistent with hand-pressed ceramic manufacture.
