Reverse description An allegorical scene in classical style depicts Queen Victoria seated on a throne at centre-right, crowned and holding the royal sceptre, while a winged or draped figure standing behind her extends a palm branch over her head in a gesture of blessing. To her left stand three classical female figures — interpreted as Britannia, Justice, and Abundance — one bearing a trident, beside a plinth or altar. The upper legend arcs LONG LIVE THE QUEEN, and the lower exergue reads CORONATION / JUNE 28 1838.
