| Obverse description | Incuse legends fill the field. The circular legend reads THE VEEDER MFG. CO. around the upper portion and HARTFORD, CONN U.S.A. around the lower portion. In the center, the script trademark Veeder appears in large relief lettering, flanked above by PATENTED and below by the patent date OCT. 22, 1895. The model designation M28 appears in the lower field. Two small holes are pierced near the edge at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. |
