| Obverse description | Octagonal copper trade token with a checkerboard (draughts/chess board) design filling the central field, enclosed within a plain rectangular frame. The legend LE VASSEUR . RUE DAUPHINE. arcs along the upper border, with the date 1720 in the lower exergue. The token is pierced at the bottom near the date. A fine tooth border runs along all eight sides. |
