| Obverse description | Plain field with all-text design. The legend SCENIC RAILWAY curves along the upper periphery and KATOOMBA along the lower, separated by small cross ornaments at each side. A raised inner circle frames the central field, within which ADULT appears in bold relief. The central hole, which interrupts the denomination, was punched to cancel the original 9d face value, converting the piece into a token. |
