Obverse description Two allegorical female figures flank a central shield bearing the legend LE MONDE, one figure representing Savings (EPARGNE) and the other Providence (PREVOYANCE), with a clasped hands device on the lower shield and a crowned urn surmounted by a star above. The engraver's signature DANTZELL appears in the left field, with the date 1875 incuse in the right field. The design is executed in high relief within a reeded border.
