Comments

This is not a banknote. Yuri Minkin is a Ukrainian-born fantasy note designer whose "tokens" are commercially produced novelty items with no legal tender status, no issuing authority mandate, and no relationship to the Bank of Mauritius. The 1000 Guilders denomination is itself a fiction — Mauritius has used the rupee since 1876 and never issued guilders.

Polymer substrate and a holographic strip give it a superficial resemblance to circulating currency, which is the point. Collectors should catalog these under fantasy/novelty issues, not under Mauritius government emissions.
