Obverse descriptionThe First Euro Strike of Belgium beautifully shows the first silver Belgian commemorative euro from 2002. On the front is the beautiful portrait of King Albert II, looking to the left, surrounded by the stars of the European Union. On the reverse is a beautiful image of a train coming out of the tunnel of the 50-year-old Brussels North-South connection. The famous statue of Manneke Pis is known name all over the world and is beautifully depicted at the bottom of this 24 karat gold-plated issue. Just as famous is the Atomium, which was built on the occasion of the 1958 World`s Fair in Brussels. It is very recognizable in the center. The top is filled with a beautiful image of the Royal Palace in Brussels.
