| Obverse description | Fourfold quartered shield within a beaded inner circle, bearing the Árpád stripes of Hungary, the Bohemian lion, the Moravian eagle, and the Austrian fess, arranged in alternating quarters. The shield is centrally positioned in the field, surrounded by a circular Latin legend. The die-work is characteristic of Hungarian Gothic hammered coinage of the mid-fifteenth century. |
