Reverse description Displayed double-headed imperial eagle with spread wings, each head surmounted by a crown, and a central shield on the breast bearing the quartered arms of Austria. A large imperial crown rises above both heads at the top of the field. The encircling Latin legend ARGENT*RECENS*CAVAT*IMP*AVT*SIG* runs around the entire periphery within a beaded border, referencing the freshly minted silver and imperial authorization. The composition follows the standard typology of Holy Roman Empire-affiliated thalers of the early seventeenth century.
