Obverse description Saint Leodegar seated, facing left, looking right, raising right hand in blessing, wearing mitre and episcopal regalia, holding crosier in left hand. In front, the coat of arm of Lucerne on ornate cartouche supported by two putti. The left putto seated, holding drill in right hand and palm leaf in left hand. The right putto supporting sword with right hand and holding palm leaf in left hand. Saint Maurice standing behind, wearing suit of armour and helmet with feather, holding lance with flag in left hand. In the background, the Collegiate church in Lucerne.
