| Reverse description | A large spread double-headed eagle with nimbate (halo-adorned) heads dominates the central field, its wings displayed and talons prominent, rendered with finely engraved feather detail typical of Renaissance hammered coinage. A single imperial crown surmounts both heads at the top of the design. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by colon stops, runs around the eagle within a beaded inner border and reads as a devotional invocation. The overall composition reflects the city's status as an Imperial Free City under the Holy Roman Empire. |
