Obverse description Eleven-fold quartered arms of the County of Stolberg occupy the central field, flanking the divided date and mintmaster's initials. The value '2/3' appears in an oval cartouche at the base, dividing the legend elements 'N.D.L' and 'FUS'. The peripheral legend names the joint rulers in abbreviated Latin form. The overall design is characteristic of mid-18th century German territorial coinage with heraldic complexity.
