Obverse description Central field displays the quartered arms of the County of Stolberg surmounted by a coronet, with the date 1738 divided on either side of the shield and the mintmaster initials IIG and the value indicator '6' inscribed at the base. The escutcheon incorporates multiple heraldic quarterings reflecting the comital house's territorial claims. A circumscribed Latin legend reading CHRISTO. FRID. U. IOST. CHRISTI. GEBR. G. Z. ST. K. R. W. U. H. surrounds the shield, identifying the two co-ruling counts Christoph Friedrich and Jost Christian as brothers and Counts of Stolberg. The inscription FEIN SILB. appears in the lower portion of the field, attesting to the coin's fine silver content.
