Obverse description Draped bust of Archbishop Joseph Clemens of Bavaria facing right, wearing a voluminous curled allonge wig characteristic of the early 18th-century Baroque style. The truncation shows an elaborately detailed mantle with ermine-trimmed collar. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, divided by the bust, reading IOSEPH. CLEM. D. G. ARCH. COL. S. R. I. P. B. E., abbreviating his full ecclesiastical and princely titles. The coin's milled edge is visible at the rim.
