Reverse description Elaborately quartered heraldic shield surmounted by a prince-elector's crown with cross finial at top, displaying the arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne alongside the personal arms of the Wittelsbach family, including a horse passant and lozengy field among the quarterings. The denomination fraction 2/3 appears in a cartouche at the base of the shield, with the mint mark letters NL and the date flanking the shield within the inner circle. The circumferential Latin legend identifies this as a new Cologne coinage.
