Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Count John Theodore of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort facing right, wearing elaborately decorated plate armor with a lace or ruffled collar, set within a beaded inner circle. The portrait is rendered in the high-relief Baroque style typical of early seventeenth-century German thalers. The circumferential Latin legend surrounding the bust incorporates the date 1625 at the top of the field.
