| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of John George IV, Elector of Saxony, facing right, wearing a long flowing wig with voluminous curls and decorated armor with lace cravat visible at the collar. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field in a bold, high-relief baroque style. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the Latin legend distributed around the full circumference reading IOH. GEORG. IV. DG. DVX. SAX. I. C. M. A. &. W. |

| Reverse description | Crowned and elaborately mantled coat of arms displaying the quartered electoral Saxon arms with the crossed swords escutcheon at center, flanked by elaborate heraldic supporters. The denomination 2/3 appears at the bottom of the field, flanked by the mintmaster's initials. The Latin legend SAC. ROM. IMP. ARCHIM. &.
