Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Hanover displayed on a crowned shield, incorporating the heraldic devices of Brunswick, Lüneburg, and Westphalia, occupy the central field. A royal crown surmounts the shield. The fractional denomination ⅙ is displayed in an oval cartouche at the base of the shield. The surrounding circular legend reads BRUNS.&.LUN.DUX S.R.I.ATH.&.ELECT, with the date appearing at the top of the legend. The inscription SILBER is also present, denoting the silver composition.
