| Obverse description | Central field displays a quartered royal shield of arms surmounted by an arched crown, bearing the heraldic devices of England (three passant guardant lions), Scotland (rampant lion within tressure), France (three fleurs-de-lis), Ireland (harp), and Hanover (white horse), the date divided across the upper field flanking the crown.
