Reverse description The reverse features the prancing white horse of Hanover (the Hanoverian steed) in left profile, depicted in mid-gallop above a ground line with scattered rocky terrain, rendered in a lively baroque style. The motto NEC ASPERA TERRENT arcs across the upper field in a bold legend, meaning 'Adversity does not frighten us.' Below the horse, the date and mint-master's initials appear in the exergue: 1727 / C.P.S., accompanied by the fineness designation FEIN SILB indicating fine silver.
