| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the quartered coat of arms of Waldeck-Pyrmont, surmounted by a princely crown with mantling draped to either side, the shield displaying the traditional dynastic quarterings including a cross and dotted fields. The arms are set within an elaborate heraldic mantling supported by two tasselled supporters. A beaded border frames the entire design, with the circular legend reading the ruler's name and title around the periphery. |
