Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Elector Frederick III of Brandenburg facing right, wearing a long flowing wig in the late Baroque fashion. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detailing on the cuirass and mantle. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading FRIDER•III•D•G•M•B•S•R•I•ARC•& EL•, abbreviating his titles as Margrave of Brandenburg, Arch-Chamberlain and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. The entire design is contained within a reeded border.
