Obverse description Armored bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) facing right, depicted with a curled wig and elaborately rendered military cuirass with decorative shoulder ornament. The effigy is relatively small in proportion to the coin's field, occupying the lower center of the die. The surrounding legend reads FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX, arranged along the inner border of the coin.
