| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of King Frederick I of Prussia facing right, wearing a flowing long wig with elaborate curls cascading over the shoulders, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The king's armored shoulders and lace cravat are visible at the bust truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading FRID D G REX BORVSS EL BR, abbreviated from Fridericus Dei Gratia Rex Borussiae Elector Brandenburgensis.
