Obverse description Right-facing laureate bust of King Frederick I of Prussia, portrayed with flowing long curled wig in the Baroque court style, wearing an ornate laurel wreath and armored drapery at the truncation. The effigy fills the majority of the coin's field and is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail. The circumferential legend reads FRIDER D G REX BORVSSIAE EL B, denoting Frederick by the grace of God, King of Prussia, Elector of Brandenburg. A beaded inner border frames the design.
