Obverse description Central field displays the elaborately quartered coat of arms of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, featuring the traditional heraldic charges of the duchy including the bull's head of Mecklenburg, supported by foliate mantling on either side and surmounted by a large ducal crown. The armorial shield is rendered in fine relief with detailed engraving. A continuous Latin legend encircles the design along the periphery, reading the duke's full titular inscription.
