Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Frederick August I (Augustus II of Poland) facing right, wearing a curled periwig and elaborately decorated armor with ornamental shoulder pauldron. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detailing on the cuirass and mantle. The Latin legend encircles the portrait along the outer rim, reading from the lower left upward and continuing across the top of the field.
