Obverse description Armored bust of King Charles XI of Sweden facing right, wearing a flowing long-haired periwig and a gorget, with ornate plate armor visible at the shoulder. The mintmaster's initials ILA appear below the truncation of the bust. Reverse description Crowned quartered shield of Swedish Pomerania displaying multiple heraldic quarters including lions and griffins, supported on the left by a wild man (woodwose) holding a club and on the right by a similarly attired wild man holding a lance, both figures standing on the coin's base line. The date appears divided at the bottom of the shield flanking the fractional denomination 2/3, indicating the coin's value of two-thirds of a Thaler. The Latin legend MONETA NOVA DVCATVS POMERAN encircles the design with a beaded inner border.
