Obverse description Right-facing laureate and draped bust of King Charles XI, wearing a long curled wig with shoulder flaps and a laurel wreath crown, set within a beaded border. The effigy displays the king in armor with a draped mantle visible at the truncation. The denomination 1/3 appears in the lower field below the bust truncation. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from the left.

Reverse description Central shield displaying the multi-quartered royal arms of Sweden, surmounted by a large closed crown and flanked by two helmeted armorial supporters standing to either side. Additional smaller crowns appear above each supporter. The date 1672 is divided across the upper field, and the mintmaster initials D S flank the denomination fraction (1/3) at the base of the shield. The whole composition is enclosed by a beaded border with the Latin circumferential legend.
