| Obverse description | Central field displays the arms of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen: a crowned oval shield flanked by two standing wild men (savages) as supporters, each holding a staff or club. The date 1676 appears above the shield within the legend, and the engraver's initials H and M are placed to either side of the shield base. A Latin circular legend surrounds the entire composition, reading the ruler's titulature along the inner border of a beaded rim. |
