| Obverse description | Draped bust of Adalbert II of Walderdorff facing right, wearing a lace cravat and clerical vestments, depicted in a baroque portrait style. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and drapery. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading from the lower left. A small ornamental stop appears at the base of the design below the bust. |

| Additional information |
Adalbert II von Walderdorff served as Prince-Bishop of Fulda from 1753 until his death in 1759, one of the shortest episcopates in the see's history. His tenure coincided almost exactly with the Seven Years' War, which brought Hessian and French forces repeatedly through the Fulda region — the abbey's finances were severely strained by military requisitions and occupation costs, making coin production during these years administratively fraught.
Fulda's fractional thaler issues of this period are notably scarce relative to the larger denominations, likely reflecting disrupted minting schedules rather than low authorized mintage.
