| Reverse description | The reverse presents a plain, slightly concave central field enclosed within a finely detailed laurel wreath tied at the top with a ribbon bow and at the bottom with a foliate knot. Within the wreath, the fineness and weight standard is inscribed in four lines: the Roman numeral XI above AUF I. FEINE followed by MARK., with the date 1783. beneath. The field is uncluttered and the lettering is deeply and crisply incused, consistent with the precise die-work of the Zürich City Mint. A milled border frames the entire reverse. |
