| Obverse description | Facing head of Helios rendered in fine Hellenistic style, the face presented nearly full-face with a slight three-quarter turn, framed by voluminous, radiating curls that spread across the entire flan in characteristic solar deity fashion. The modelling of the facial features is accomplished with confident relief, displaying well-defined brows, large almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose, and slightly parted lips. The flowing locks are rendered with great naturalism and vitality, cascading outward in all directions to fill the circular field. No legend appears on the obverse; the design is contained within a plain border. |

| Reverse description | A rose in full bloom depicted facing upward in the centre of the field, with broad, symmetrically spread petals and a prominent central bud, rendered in high relief with fine engraved detail on the calyx and stem. A small secondary bud or leaf element appears to the lower right of the stem. The magistrate's name ΕΡΜΙΑΣ (Ermias) is inscribed in Greek characters in a curved legend along the upper field, arching above the rose motif. The flat, granular field surrounding the floral device shows the characteristic surface of a hammered silver flan. |
