| Obverse description | Youthful male head facing right, laureate with a wreath of laurel leaves rendered in fine detail, the hair swept back in tightly modeled curls. The facial features are finely executed in the Hellenic style, with a straight nose, well-defined brow, and a slightly parted lip, conveying an idealized, Apollo-like countenance. The neck is bare and the portrait fills the flan with strong relief characteristic of Macedonian workshop production. No legend appears on the obverse. |
