| Obverse description | Youthful bare head of Apollo facing right, hair swept back in loose waves and bound with a taenia, rendered in fine Hellenistic style. The portrait is naturalistic and graceful, with delicate facial features characteristic of late 4th-century BC Macedonian coinage. The border consists of a row of small beads encircling the field. |

The monogram Λ Y, representing the abbreviated name of Lysimachos, appears in the upper field divided on either side of the rider. The execution is typical of Amphipolis mint coinage of the Diadoch period, with globular pellets visible in the lower field as ground indicators. |
