| Reverse description | A lion standing left in a vigorous, alert posture with head turned back to face the viewer, the mane rendered in bold pellet-like relief. In the upper field, the Greek legend MAΣΣA appears, with the remainder of the civic ethnic ΛIHTΩN partially off-flan. The control mark ΓΓ is visible in the lower field beneath the lion. A ground line runs beneath the figure, and the overall composition reflects the characteristic Massalian die-cutting tradition. |
