Reverse description A tall, elegant amphora with two handles depicted in high relief at the centre of a deeply cut incuse square, its narrow foot resting on a small groundline. The letters of the civic ethnic ΛΑΡΙΣΙΑ are distributed around the amphora within the incuse square: ΛΑΡ arranged across the upper field and ΙΣ ΙΑ split to the lower left and lower right of the vessel. The incuse recess displays characteristic hammered workmanship typical of early Thessalian silver coinage, with crisp linear borders framing the design.
