| Reverse description | Coiled serpent of Asklepios depicted upright within a shallow incuse square, the body rendered in tight coils with the head raised to the right. The magistrate names are inscribed in Greek letters flanking the serpent: ΝΙΚΟΜH to the left and ΘΕΥΦΑΜΙ to the right, with ΚΩΙ appearing below, identifying the issuing city of Kos. The incuse square frame is a hallmark of Koan silver coinage of this period. The overall composition is bold and well-centred within the available flan. |
