Reverse description An eagle displayed facing, with broad, finely detailed wings spread symmetrically and rendered with incised feather striations in a crisp archaic style. The bird's head is turned slightly, and its powerful talons are visible beneath the body. The design is set within a deep incuse square, typical of early Greek coinage of the Chalcidian League, with the relief of the eagle forming a striking contrast against the recessed field. The overall composition reflects the skilled die-cutting tradition of northern Greek mints of the late Archaic period.
