| Obverse description | Forepart of a lioness advancing to right, the head turned sharply and viewed from above, rendered in bold archaic relief. A floral ornament appears above the figure in the upper field. The design is executed in the vigorous early Classical style characteristic of northern Greek coinage, with strong naturalistic modeling of the animal's musculature. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided by raised ridges into four equal recessed compartments, each with a slightly raised central boss, forming a symmetrical windmill-like pattern. The incuse is deeply struck and fills the entire reverse field, a hallmark of early Macedonian and Thracian coinage of the late Archaic period. |
