Obverse description Helmeted head of Aineias facing right, rendered in archaic style with a long, pointed beard. The effigy is depicted wearing a crested Corinthian helmet, the crest rendered in high relief. The facial features display the characteristic archaic treatment of the period, with a stylized beard and strong profile. The flan is irregularly shaped, as is typical of early Macedonian coinage of this period.
