Obverse description Draped bust of Persephone (or Kore) facing left, her hair elaborately arranged in waves and bound with a wreath of grain ears, with loose tresses falling about the neck. The rendering is in the refined Syracusan tradition, exhibiting high-relief modeling and finely engraved detail characteristic of early Hellenistic die-cutting. A small dolphin or control symbol is visible in the lower right field. The rim is bordered by a beaded or dotted inner ring.
