Reverse description A kithara (lyre) depicted frontally at center, its resonating body and upright arms clearly articulated with multiple strings rendered in fine detail. Three pellets, serving as value marks denoting the tetras denomination, are distributed around the instrument in the field. To the left and right of the kithara appear the abbreviated civic legend 'K' and 'A', identifying the issuing city of Katane.
