Obverse description Laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the vigorous provincial style characteristic of the Antiochene mint. The emperor's portrait is boldly struck, with a clearly defined laurel wreath and well-modeled facial features. The encircling Greek legend runs along the coin's periphery, naming the emperor in the genitive case. The flan, as typical of Syrian tetradrachms of this period, is slightly irregular in shape.
