Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, with a strong, naturalistic portrait rendered in the Roman imperial tradition. The emperor's features are firmly modeled, displaying his characteristic broad face and closely cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The bust is draped at the shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the portrait, reading partially ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΟΥΕΣΠΑΣΙΑΝΟΥ, identifying the emperor by his titles in the Hellenistic provincial style. The die engraving reflects the skilled craftsmanship of the Antiochene mint workshop.
