Reverse description The reverse depicts the investiture scene in which the enthroned Arsaces deity or Nike figure, seated on a throne or omphalos to the right, presents a bow or diadem to the standing king, Vardanes II, who faces right. The central group is surrounded on all sides by the Greek royal titulature legend arranged in multiple lines filling the field. In the exergue, a Aramaic mint signature is inscribed. The composition follows the standard late Parthian tetradrachm type struck at Seleucia on the Tigris.
