Reverse description A powerful lion passant left, depicted in high relief with a finely detailed mane and alert facial features, advancing along a ground line within a dotted border. The Greek letters ΛY appear as a control mark or magistrate's abbreviation in the upper right field. The bold, naturalistic rendering of the lion is consistent with the artistic tradition of Babylonian satrapal coinage of the post-Alexandrine period.
